Neema Crafts African Patchwork Quilts

Our fabulous patchwork quilts are made by a group of out workers who concentrate their time on just making this one product. They are lovingly made using the stunning African Kitenge fabrics. The group meet together to select the fabrics and cut them up, dividing them up amongst themselves to be assembled and sewn at their homes.

The quilts show off the vibrant colours of Africa and will brighten any room. Every one is unique in pattern as the fabrics available are constantly changing. The quilts are available in double (Queen bed size) Single and Baby size (also great for covering your knees on a cold winters day).

The women who make them have been able to make huge improvements to their lives through this part of Neema Crafts. Having the money come direct to them for their work means that they are able to by good school uniforms and pay their children's school fees and put food on the table. Most of the women in the quilt group have now invested their earnings in other enterprises like pig breeding or raising chickens for egg production, further helping to lift their families out of poverty.
