Visit Neema Crafts for the fastest and only virus free internet in Iringa town. The internet café at Neema Crafts started in February 2010 thanks to generous help from a supporter and the expert skills of our fantastic local VSO volunteer, Roland.
We now have 11 computers set up for internet access all using Linux software, so no viruses! We also now have WiFi access in the café/restaurant. We use the TTCL network, taking advantage of their high speed fibre-optic link up which joins Iringa to Mumbai, South Africa and London! This all adds another income stream to help us fund our work but best of all we are now able to run computer training classes for deaf and disabled people. This can equip them with a great employable skill to help them find work in an area where their disabilities are not nearly so important in affecting their work or employability. We hope this will help many people off our waiting list at Neema Crafts and into employment in town or elsewhere helping to further prove how able these guys are and to continue to change attitudes in society towards them.
By using our internet café you not only get great service in an attractive setting but you also know you are supporting valuable work to help the disadvantaged in society.
The Internet Cafe opens at 10am to allow time for computer training classes in the morning and closes at 6.30pm. WiFi is available in the cafe throughout cafe opening times.
